Justice for All: Supporting Victims of Domestic Abuse

In communities across the country, individuals experiencing abuse and neglect are staying silent. The issue is substantial, but just how bad is it? 42.1% of Maryland women and 27.2% of Maryland men experience intimate partner physical and emotional violence. Thankfully, in our community, the Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center (EPEC) is on an ambitious mission to eliminate violence against all people. To help achieve its ambitious mission, our team at A to Z Insurance Services wants to extend our efforts to assist this noble organization in providing a voice for the voiceless.

Eastern Panhandle Empowerment Center (EPEC) is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting victims, preventing violence, and empowering survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking. They’re able to accomplish this by equipping victims and survivors with the tools they need to cope with the psychological, social, emotional, and legal consequences of victimization.

EPEC offers various services to help victims of domestic violence in its community and continually looks for volunteers to assist those in need. This support and network of resources strive to form meaningful relationships that encourage abuse victims to achieve their goals and transform into self-sufficient individuals.
